IP66 Electrical Enclosure - Powder-Coated Steel
IP Enclosures S1 range consists of powder-coated galvanised steel, single door, wall-mounted electrical enclosures. They are suitable for heavy duty applications.
Features and Specifications
Protection: Complies with IP66 IK10, NEMA 4 (Independent accredited test laboratory).
Conforming and certified to IEC 62208 Empty enclosures for low voltage switch gear and control gear assemblies. (Complying to new standard AS/NZ 61439 2016 Low voltage switch gear and control gear assemblies as empty enclosure in accordance to IEC 62208.)
The robust monoblock body is galvanised steel sheet (1.2mm-1.5mm). Precision automated manufacturing equipment ensures accuracy and consistent high quality. Flat face sealing surfaces increase seal life. Pre-fitted blind nutserts for mounting brackets and accessories removes the need for drilling. This retains the integrity of the IP rating. Integral device plate mounts and M6 earth stud are included. A galvanised steel gland plate is also incorporated into the bottom face.
Enclosure Door:
The surface mounted door is 1.5mm galvanised steel sheet. It incorporates concealed removable hinges with captive pins. Doors are also designed for a 110° opening. Each door contains integral cable management rail studs and an M6 earth stud. The cable management rails are removable to provide more space for control components.
Enclosure Seal:
A high quality full perimeter seal provides excellent sealing over a long life. It is machine applied Polyurethane foamed in place (FIP).
Enclosure Lock:
3mm double bit insert quarter turn lock with key.
Device Mounting Plate:
The device mounting plate is 1.5mm galvanised steel sheet. It is pressed to provide strength. It is pre-fitted into the enclosure as standard.
Gland Plate:
Gland plates are incorporated into the bottom face of the enclosure for cable management. They are provided with gaskets and fasteners. The size and quantity vary according to enclosure size.
Surface Treatment:
UL approved epoxy polyester powder-coated with a textured finish. 80-120 micron average thickness. The standard electrical enclosure colour is RAL7035.
